Win the searches happening within 10km of you
“Near me” searches decide who gets called first. Local SEO is the work of making sure that is you — in the map pack, in the suburbs you service, and with reviews that justify the click.
The map pack is the real first page
For local intent, Google shows three business listings above almost everything else. Getting into that set depends on relevance, distance and prominence — which in practice means a complete and active Google Business Profile, consistent details across the web, a steady flow of recent reviews, and a website that confirms you actually service that area.
It is unglamorous work and it moves faster than almost anything else in SEO. Most businesses we audit are leaving easy visibility unclaimed: wrong categories, missing services, no photos in a year, and reviews nobody has answered.
The local SEO checklist we run
- Profile optimisationPrimary and secondary categories, services, attributes, hours, holiday hours and description.
- Photos and postsA real, current photo set and regular Google posts so the profile looks alive.
- Service-area pagesOne properly written page per suburb or region you actually serve — not doorway spam.
- Citation consistencyName, address and phone matched across the directories Australians and Google both use.
- Review engineA simple ask-and-respond process that produces steady, recent, genuine reviews.
- Local trackingCalls, direction requests and messages from the profile, reported alongside site leads.

Questions we get asked
How many suburb pages do we need?
Only for areas you genuinely service and can talk about specifically. Fifty thin pages with the suburb name swapped in will not rank and can hurt you; eight substantial ones usually will.
What if we have no physical address?
Service-area businesses can rank without displaying an address — the profile just needs to be set up as a service-area business with accurate coverage.
How do we get more reviews without breaking the rules?
Ask every satisfied customer at the right moment with a direct link. No incentives, no gating, no bulk requests — and answer the ones you get, including the negative ones.
